Meeting Schedule

The Twin Falls Chapter generally meets the second Saturday of each month September through May.  Meetings include patriotic exercises, chapter business, and historical, educational, and patriotic programs. 

Prospective members are invited to attend and are encouraged to contact the chapter to confirm meeting dates and locations.

The schedule for 2016-17 is as follows:

September 10, 2016, 12:00 p.m.:  Program: "DAR 101" (basic facts about our Society, and a Q&A).  This meeting will be preceded by a Prospective Member Workshop at 10:30 a.m.

October 15, 2016, 12:00 p.m.: Program: Official visit of State Regent Rhonda Kren

November 11, 2016, 11:00 a.m.: Veterans Day observance, Twin Falls City Park

November 12, 2016, 12:00 p.m.:  Program: "Hidden History: Surprising Tales of Turmoil and Triumph in Southen Idaho," Mychel Matthews, author and reporter

December 10, 2016, 1:30 p.m.:  Program: "Colonial Cooking"

January 14, 2017, 12:00 p.m.: Program: "Songs of the American Revolution"

February 11, 2017, 1:30 p.m.: Awards reception: DAR Good Citizens, American History Essay Contests, Junior American Citizens

March 11, 2017, 12:00 p.m.:  Program: "A Tour of the DAR Museum's Period Rooms," Barbara Grant, Correspondent Docent

April 8, 2017, 12:00 p.m.:  Program: "Literacy Promotion," Katie Volle, Outreach Librarian, Twin Falls Public Library

May 4-7, 2017:  ISSDAR 104th State Conference, Lewiston

May 13, 2017, 12:00 p.m.:  Program:  State Conference report; installation of officers

June 28 - July 2, 2017:  126th Continental Congress, Washington, DC
